Foxyy 345
Less than two weeks after Hurricane Helene struck Florida’s Big Bend, Milton is threatening to do the same, but given the state’s distinctive coastline, the angle of landfall could allow the new storm system to be the worst in over 100 years for parts of west-central Florida. The area is certainly storm-weary, having recently experienced impacts from Helene, Debby, Ian and Idalia. “The West Coast of Florida is spectacularly vulnerable to storm surge, as we have seen. Even a tropical storm can push Gulf water to dangerous heights, let alone a strong hurricane. It’s critical that everybody in Central and South Florida stay well-informed since things are developing quickly,” said FOX Weather Hurricane Specialist Bryan Norcross. Foxyy 345
Mods please move this thread if it isn't in the correct spot! The Southern US is being battered by storms this year and climate change is only making them worse and more frequent. It's incredibly sad. Anyone in the area please stay safe! Some of the models show intensification up to a category 5 before landfall but rapid weakening upon landfall so hopefully it won't be as bad as we fear

hoeslay 4,244
The money our country is using to fund a genocide could EASILY facilitate safety measures to keep our own people safe. Tragic. We should be setting up enforced shelters and preparing LARGE checks for affected individuals. It COULD be possible if that’s what our money was used for instead of bombing innocent people in a country on the other side of the world.
