why were fans lying saying hse was in 50 minutes of the film. Even fans are the problem. We need HONESTY. First movie not musical- it is musical, then Gaga is main character - Gaga is camoe, now Gaga is 50 minutes in movie - now Gaga in 34. I AM TIRED OF THE LIES

Todd is right there

Respectfully y'all are doin too much. If y'all didn't like the film, fine. But Todd Phillips is the one who gave Gaga an iconic role in a big ass movie where people are praising her performance.

My guess is they were counting the entire runtime of scenes where she was present.

It's a weird one. She may not have a huge number of minutes actual screentime, but it does feel like she's ever-present pretty much throughout the film. I certainly didn't leave the cinema earlier thinking "huh, where was Gaga?!"

Exactly she was there the whole time, while I think the 2nd half of HOG felt like Gaga is gone for awhile.

Hit me a message and say hi !

That's interesting; I felt her presence for a lot of it. Well, she ate regardless. Hoping for a directors cut, deleted scenes, etc on physical release so we can see more of her Lee!

Same... I felt like she was more in it! Her performance was really good so maybe I was just thinking about it :traumatica:

The length of the Fame Monster, Illuminati confirmed :queenga:

She's getting the Oscar :firega:

But really, I hope she gets one, at least for Best Original Song. She was amazing and the song she wrote is really beautiful

If we are being honest... More like 25 :traumatica: but as someone wrote before you see her during 4-5 seconds reacting to something throughout the film so it feels like she had more screentime. They did her dirty

So it really is like 25 minutes... I remember people saying that before the movie premiered :enigma:

That's because a character doesn't have to be on screen to be present. The entire movie after a certain point revolved around her but fans are melting down because her face wasn't visible 100% of the time?

A lot of you are being a bit overdramatic. Not you, Mr. Dandy! But definitely some people in this thread and across this site.

Oh absolutely not - we’re doing too little

He casted her only to cut all her scenes out. I read on ATRL that an editor friend said 2/3 scenes were cut. He made the feel one dimensional, and didn’t give her a proper story line. The writing and pacing is bad even after being given notes by James Gunn?

The buck stops with the director. Gaga was gonna shine regardless, but still the movie is being panned by everyone. He is literally the sole reason she won’t get an oscar nomination despite an oscar worthy performance.

I personally liked the movie but a D audience score and 37 (143 teas) on RT… I dont think it’s just the incels not living to. Literally there is no one else to blame but the director

I was just thinking about how much better the movie would be if Joker and Harley escaped in the first act arson scene and the musical was them imagining their crime spree as a Hollywood movie.

Everyone is talking about it being a musical, but the real buzz kill was trapping it in a courtroom.

That they don't even get a second act where they can play together before getting caught is a tragedy.

maybe it is a blessing in disguise, because it makes it harder for haters to say its her fault when shes barely in the movie. Take the money and run Gaga, hope shes a producer on the next film.
