It’s painfully clear that Todd Phillips had no idea what he was doing when assembling the theatrical cut of this movie. 

I would give my right nut for this scene to have been the actual full song.

The movie wanted to be too many things at once and didn’t fully commit to any of these things… Such wasted potential.

Soundtrack is out now, it should be there as track #4. Make sure you’re not looking at the Score which is Hildur’s album with just Joker on the cover.

it indeed was super short, but the song in the soundtrack is shorter than the Harlequinn version, so it got me wondering if they cut the song even more in the movie

 

also, do you think she will get nominated for this song at the Oscars?

I don't think the movie version of the song is memorable enough to warrant that kind of recognition. I actually doubt the film will get much recognition at all.

Emilia Peréz has it in the bag for soundtrack, no doubt about it.

but the original song category usually recognizes songs from random movies, just like Gaga's first nom with Til It Happens to You and the movie that won in 2023 while she was running with Hold My Hand, so I'd say there are chances for a nom (a win is unlikely ofc)

I know very little of Emilia, didn't even know there was music in it lol
