Lady Gaga playing mostly Villains in her projects

I mainly want her to play a role where her romantic relationship isn't the main driving force behind her story. That has been the common thread behind her roles (including AHS) but there's a huge world of stories available that go beyond that.

Hold AWN I love your take?? It fits into my Romeo & Juliet headcanon. The way she looks in that moment is so convincing that she gives up on her life right then and there... as opposed to her being like nahh not today, put the gun down and give herself a haircut instead 

But then again, I like the idea that if the staircase scene WAS real, then it could be that after some time, Lee changes her mind, she DOES care about the real Arthur, which is why she decides to visit him in prison again... right before ynw   I mean why else would they be vague about the 'visitor'...

Honestly about the visitor I thought maybe the guards set him up, simply bc only one goes with him and then leaves him in the hallways after hearing the commotion when he really couldn’t have gotten that far plus he talked bad about them in court. I do like them leaving it open for Harley but I really don’t think anything will be done with her after this

Yes, I would love to see her do something similar to what Cher did in Moonstruck, or even Mask. Just something that isn’t tied to music and/or villainous intent. Those seem to be her safety nets, and she has the craft to branch out.

the stairs scene for me was one of the peak acting and looks moments of her acting in the movie but

what the f*** was that dialogue and especially after the voicemail scene... it definitely is one of the worst character developments of all time

What development  As usual, our girl did the best she could but there was barely anything to work with. What saves the stairs scene is the way she doesn't blink. So haunting.

The dialogue was messy throughout tbh...I need a second viewing because I know at points it tried to be subtle but at the same time I needed exposition.

She could also do with more text. In most of the scenes in her movies she doesn't have that much to say and most of it's reactionary. I would love to see her rant or think out loud, or have a monolog.

Oh yes!! You're so right. Her co-leads always take a bulk of the dialogue. Even in AHS she was more so reactionary and had one liners or voice overs. 

Hopefully she really considers this in the next script that comes along...

Slight spoiler - I loved her first dialogue scene in JFAD especially because it was refreshing to see the other character listening and not interrupting.
