Gaga fans do not **** with jazz Gaga at all…… ****ing crazy how DWAS can be doing 11M streams and this album can’t even do half of that with 12 more songs. A lot My friends who loved Chromatica said why can’t she just do pop music …. Tbh I love this album, it’s def great and up there with ASIB for me.
Hyperobject 66,768
Idk, I have faith in this in project, once the movie is out and she performs next week at Kimmel the GP will find out she just put a new Joker record last week and hopefully will give it a try. also, Christmas season is around the corner, so… I can see it getting a cute boost! She always wins in the end. 7

Noah Fence, but something tells me the same fans who are BEGGING for her to drop a pop bawp and refuse to stream anything, but pop music from her, will find another excuse once the song is out and they nitpick everything about it and find the smallest detail to bitch about and ditch the song after a day or two. it’s always the same thing, LMs cry about her not delivering, but when the times comes barely any of them stream, buy and support her music at all lol. it’s literally the GP that has been carrying Gaga’s career over the past few years, gen z making Bloody Mary and Judas go viral, str8s stanning the **** out of ASIB and DWAS… while the loudest minority of LMs can’t just shut up for a second and support ONE personal and passionate project of hers that she launched RIGHT BEFORE dropping another pop record. like, get a grip. Sinatra is one of my favorite singers too, his voice is incomparable. I see you have a natural talent and it was probably passed down to you from your dad! I play the piano! I study classical piano. Currently studying Liszt and Haydn. A video about Laufey expresses the very same thought that some express in this thread; that singing jazz is a huge handicap because jazz is not popular. It's not far from the start of this video: Not me going to her "Bewitched" expecting to hear "Bewitched (Bothered and Bewildered)", a Rodgers and Hart song from 1940, part of the Great American Songbook referred to by Tony Bennett. I had never heard Laufey's "Bewitched". It's beautiful and she does a great job expressing it vocally. You must be very talented at piano. Liszt is so very difficult. About Sinatra; a really great album is Watertown. The tracks must be listened to in order because it tells a story. He expresses the lyrics so greatly, it's a pleasure to hear. They were there for like 10 mins - Top Hits playlist: it's at number #42, I bet with you that 99% of people who stream the playlist won't even come across the song - Joker press conference and Vogue: these make great news articles but realistically how many people will come across them if you haven't seen them shared on X or Gaga's social media Yes this is barely any promo. My whole point is the album doesn't follow the typical album promo, nowhere near it. There hasn't been a lead single, no music videos, no paid social media promotion, no daily promotion and very little notice to increase awareness about the album release. Yes, there have been some organic promotion on traditional media but again if you're not that much on X or follow Gaga on IG, you probably don't even know she has a new album out. I've heard this from people I work with first hand. Try asking anyone outside Stan twitter if they know Gaga has a new album out 😁 Edited September 29 by tlittlemonster
lilboyblue 3,795
We get it you dislike this project. Why are you still here? You're here to what... gloat that it's not doing well commercially? Like, what are you trying to accomplish... Dishearten those who are rooting for it to do well? Extremely unkind behavior, really. What is nice to notice is that Jazz is not popular, Gaga knows it and yet she chooses to do it anyway. The music comes first. She respects and honors her artistry and that is so admirable and rare these days! I thought Bewitched was a cover too! And I was happily surprised when I found out it wasn’t. I just love how Laufey blends jazz and classical music! I’m going to listen to Watertown as you said. Thanks! I’m not talented at all I like to say I’m disciplined and stubborn, but I’ve never been a natural. I have to make many attempts until I finally succeed in something
