Ye these new Billie videos are tapping into that grungy minimalism of Trip Hop and late 90's alt rock. The videos are super simplistic, grimy, humble and "boring", but very stylised and push more towards visualisers to the music rather than your typical flashy pop music video. Kinda like "how can we make a visual for this song with hardly anything - just an empty room, a chair and a person", "what's really going to clash with the music but also compliment it"?

People really need to broaden their scopes. Not everything needs to be high budget and extravagant.

I know she has the budget but this is Billie's style. I like it. It's strange yet i know there's a deep meaning behind it. 

I just dont like that it seems to be the same setting, color grading done in Chihiro.

personally though, concept videos were more entertaining. even all the good girls go to hell wasn't doing much but the visuals were elevating it.

now we have concepts of a music video.

It's alright. I was a bit bored after the first minute though.

This has been the era of subtle, downplayed videos and phenomenal, breath taking vocals. The video is good. I like the idea of her being pulled around violently by a lover who isn't even there anymore. I guess I just want a little more fantasy and drama. I really like the Chihiro video but considering the song is inspired by Spirited Away I was expecting something little more whimsical/magical. Still like them though, they just aren't 'wow'

NO! That's the best part about it and she's the only one who is doing it! I HATE when the last 10 seconds of a video are covered up by YouTubes obnoxious suggested videos screen. And it's even worse when videos I really loved the ending of are now ruined because YouTube forced this feature on us and covered them ALL up  we never knew we needed to prepare for the end of every video to be covered up. Billie is the only one who adds that at the end so it doesn't ruin the video, and also future proofs for when YouTube inevitably decides to put ads and suggestions over the entire last 20 seconds of every video because they're a-holes

i think that's done intentionally for youtube so they can place video cards at the end
