You see I think this video is really stylish. And the lo-fi surrealism of Chihiro was really effective and moving imo. The aesthetic's got this kind of slick idgaf attitude mixed with a bit of brutalism. Grungy minimalism and indie sleaze is really coming into fashion rn. The videos are super simplistic, grimy, humble and "boring", but very stylised and push more towards visualisers to the music rather than your typical flashy pop music video. Kinda like "how can we make a visual for this song with hardly anything - just an empty room, a chair and a person", "what's really going to clash with the music but also compliment it"?
