Yesterday Croatian RTL’s show “Top.hr” (charts) was talking about DWAS, making of the video and spreading some facts about the song itself and then showed the MV.

So what happened I realized that the song isn’t like it should be, something was just off.

I thought it was from the beer I had.

Today also the same show was reprised and something was off too.

I listened the song on my iPhone parallely with the TV and - RTL’s version was highly pitched like really high, in wrong key.

I was so pi**** of and sad and I couldn’t believe.

Should I contact the station and try to tell them to fix it? I mean if Gaga knew…

Am I overreacting?

Could be due to copyright?

IDK but that’s the first time I heard this kind of reversion of the original song, sounds stupid and unnatural

lol. is it really that deep

Here in Croatia music is very good protected by so called ZAMP (literally - protection of musical copyrights), not Croatian music but also worldwide with rights that belong to them.

Their webpage clearly states that reversion of the song is considered a violation of the authenticity of a musical work and is punishable.

"public reproduction of a composition whose authenticity has been called into question due to negligence or deliberate distortion of the musical work and thus its artistic value has been impaired"

Im not saying this is right but it’s not like she’s an indie artist or as if pitching up the song impairs its artistic value … if you’d have the same energy if it happened with a smaller artist you don’t care much about … I’d say at least call again to talk about it.

Catnikko

sometimes radio speed up songs that are longer which results in the song being in a higher pitch

probably something like that
