Im sure like 80% or more would vote for Kamala and not Trump

 

Only really brainwashed black women, or black women that are a lot more priveledged than most (say economically) I think are the outliers that would support Trump

 

Its probably the demographic that is least likely to vote for Trump and the fact that Kamala is the first major running person for President that is a representation of them might make them even more excited to show up to actually vote

Yes WAY too early.  Everyone thought Hillary had it.  Even the week prior they thought they were coasting.  Granted Hillary was far more polarizing, and there were her “emails,” but still.  Election is a while off and things change on a dime.

I still think Biden had a chance tbh. The people that ditched him would have gravitated back to him by November but maybe not in enough numbers to eek out an electoral win. Obviously, the Democratic establishment was showing him internal polling that said not only was he likely to lose, his presence on the ticket was actively hurting down ballot candidates for senate, the house, and state and local level elections. So he made the decision to bow out.

I still have a massive amount of respect for Biden as one of the greatest public servants the US has known and I would have enthusiastically given him my vote this November had he stayed on the ticket 

But that said, I ADORE Kamala

Back in 2019, during the Democratic primaries, Kamala was literally my second choice right behind Elizabeth Warren, who I viewed as a more "pragmatic Bernie Sanders" or, "The best of both sides in the 2016 fight: the realism of Clinton and the idealism of Sanders". My opinion of Bernie's improved through the years too though, so don't @ me...and my opinion of Liz is maybe a little worse 

Anyway, Harris' time as Biden's VP has only made her more qualified for the job I believed she could do 5 years ago AND I'm in awe at the amount of motivation and energy she's brought to the base.

She's doing such a good job politically too! She's able to stand on the victories of the Biden/Harris administration but can distance herself from its failures. She's largely staying away from the media which gives her total control of the narrative surrounding her campaign and when she inevitably does do more press conferences and interviews I know she'll kill them. She's sharp af, well spoken, and in the most complimentary way possible, cunning. Intelligent, savvy, progressive, pragmatic, has an enthralling and moving background, she's tough as hell, she takes no sh*t, she suffers no fools.

Scarily, Kamala's poll numbers are worse now than Hillary and Joe's were at the same time in the 2016 and 2020 elections respectively.

Howeve, it's trending in the right direction. Momentum is definitely on her side and polls within the next few days will show the convention bump. Then it's time for the debate which should give her another boost.

The problem with polls is they aren't future tellers. They rely too heavily on self governance, honesty, and they miss a huge factor in what decides elections: turnout and enthusiasm.

Kamala's leading, those missing factors are on her side, if things keep going like this she'll eek out the most butthole clenching victory ever seen in American politics

Y'all get ready for the election week repeat of 2020 'cause Pennsylvania's gonna be decided by a few thousand votes if her numbers don't improve there and pretty much whoever wins there, wins the election

Thats so funny, I thought the same about Elizabeth Warren. I liked her because I thought she was left enough and hard enough on Capitalism to really get some much needed wealth redistribution going and low and middle class empowerment without going to the extent Bernie went to on some things that I felt in a realistic world were a bit too extreme and would end up stiffling competitiveness too much in the long run.

Just got home from her Savannah rally and the vibe was something else. I'm not one for overt patriotism but the energy felt different than any other political function I've been apart of. The joy they talk about is real and gives me hope.
