If you use the word properly, her songs have always divided people, no matter how commercial they are. I’m not speaking about her recent flops. Miss ma'am I remember discussing about the MV of Justify my love with my colleagues back in the day and being literally on the edge of beginning an unholy argument whether it was p*rn or art of seduction. This happened like 5 years ago, 30 years after its initial release.

I asked today my colleagues whether they remember any Katy Perry song and they answered "the one with the pharaoh but I don't remember it's rhythm except that baby cries". If "controversial" stands for KP's songs, then we definitely need a new term for those that ignite big social fires.

Gaga swallowing a rosary is more controversial than her entire career. 

I just wanna take a moment to appreciate this feeling of vengeance after 2013 Applause vs. Roar and all the katycats who belittled Gaga. I normally don't engage in revenge feelings but after all that it feels good to see who's standing the test of time. I even used to mildly like Katy and would get addicted to some of her singles but I HATED katycats discourse towards Gaga, and now..... I'll let myself enjoy a little negativity
