Is this a glitch or are they removing bots?

They all went to stream Charli XCX's Brat instead :vegas:

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Sigh. I might have to consider another streaming platform. Only thing is I do like Spotify, everyone else I know uses it so we have compatible features available, I can use it to add songs to the work playlist because work uses it too, I'd have to remake my playlists and learn a new interface and honestly I'm too lazy, I don't wanna change over and then one day find out an artist/songs I like aren't on the new one (and I like Spotify wrapped at the end of the year :laughga: )

I wish they'd just get their **** together and offer lossless and pay their artists fairly. Then it'd be the best of both worlds

I don't have a problem with their shuffle though @Westerosi what's different about the other apps? I'm just curious what the problem is because idk any different and it seems to work fine for me

Edit: Spotify also has audiobooks so... I don't think I will be changing

Edit edit: OMG some streaming platforms don't have podcasts??? HARD pass. Spotify wins unfortunately. Also unpopular opinion.. I hate Dolby Atmos. Can you tell I'm researching rn? :laughga:

Lucas

I moved to Tidal weeks ago because the quality is apparently the best but it seems like we can't mute songs in an album there :saladga:

I use hi-res lossless on AM and disable atmos.

If you use an iPhone, they offer the best interface and compatibility issues are minimal.

sound quality wise, it is the best to my ears, more dynamics and wider sound stage.

my boyfriend is a renowned engineer in my local music industry, and I was told that he submits a separate ADM file to Apple with a mix more optimized for AM.

he said if you listen to compressed version of a song sometimes when you want to save data, the ADM file with Apple’s AAC codec is far superior than the MP3 any other services offer

I did a blind test using his industry standard equipments to listen to the same song on the three major streaming platform using the best format they offer, with the master of the same song he worked on as reference, I think Apple Music is closest to the intended mix with a more roomy feeling and organic placement of everything, Tidal made his song more exciting with louder vocals, Spotify is just **** because it’s blurry and muddy.

Thanks for the info! I'll have to start a trial period of Apple Music and see what I think
