(There's some regulation of broadcast channels -- but Fox News isn't one of those -- but the regulations wouldn't cover this, anyway.) Of course, we also have defamation lawsuits. Fox News is already on the hook for billions of dollars for that, with more to come. But, it does mean that, for lies that don't amount to defamation... there is usually no legal remedy.
