The study readily acknowledges its limitations, as all scientific studies do. The point of this particular study is to show that specific sexual activities impact gut microbiome alterations, an unexplored topic, in this case among same-sex practicing men, who have already previously been shown to have different gut microbiota compared to straight men in other studies.

The sample size is small but sufficient to prove this particular claim convincingly imo
