She definitely does have an influence on Gen z and alpha but no real impact in music. I feel like every once in a while you guys like to push a new artist but it just is not going to happen. Unfortunately nowadays no artist is able to do what past generations have done and that's because the music landscape has changed and has become incredibly shallow. Billie is objectively very successful lmao. It’s cool that you don’t know any of her music, but clearly your taste isn’t indicative of what’s popular atm 10

Honestly one of Gaga’s BIGGEST strengths is that brain of hers. She is a smart ass bitch

Not to mention she's only 22 with 2 Oscars and 9 Grammies, she deserves the respect she earned. Stephen 30,264
Chappel is one of Gaga's daughters just like Rina, Bree and Sam. I wish Gaga fans would realize this and start treating her as such. She deserves respect because she's a great artist but also, we should be celebrating the fact that she's one of us and not trying to downplay it. It's a badge of honor and a testament to Gaga's influence! 2 3

It is just funny to me that LMs assume Gaga is the one who inspired her act/she can be classified as a post-Gaga girl (you literally called her "Gaga's daughter") when Chappell is constantly throwing out other references, incl artists that barely get respect on this forum. MadArchitect 563
9 hours ago, Bronco said: I mean the meat dress/flying dress both came once Gaga had money to expand her output. I think far more fair to compare Gaga's earlier efforts like the iPod glasses & the cover of The Fame where the crystal glasses were cheap specs with hot glued crystals; with Chapell's album cover for Midwest Princess. She did that by her own account with thrift store stuff and her own money as she'd gone indie. That said the difference is that Chappell is absolutely going down the camp kitsch route. Her football kit & jockstrap outfit being a perfect example of it. And she's doing it masterfully. the meat dress look was literally made with a regular corset, a pair of pleasers, torn out fishnets, fake diamonds and of course streaks of meat sewn together.... it was not about money at all...
