What I fear from the exit poll is Reform did rather well indeed and if Labour don’t deliver, I fear what is happening in France could very well happen here too. This, Farage potentially winning Clacton and becoming an MP is really worrying, the right wing may turn to more extreme parties like reform instead of the Tories and like you said it may end up like France. Labour have to make sure they deliver the goods to prevent this party from becoming any bigger than the admittedly tiny party it is right now.
