It's not going to be "an eye for an eye"... look at the state who passed this. It's going to be further incentive to justify murdering their "disposable population"

I support capital punishment, but for high high acts of evil such as crimes like this and of murder, I would want that person suffering in prison for the rest of their life in ideally the worst possible conditions.

I haven't seen anyone explaining the obvious flaw with this law, so:

It's already scary enough to talk about it, to decide to press charges, especially for a child, but imagine telling a child that if they do decide to press charges, the rapist will die? Especially as this is often close of them, their dad, uncle, family's friend?

A lot of people, let alone children, would not press charges against their abuser if it meant they were going to die. Even if they did something horrible, it's a heavy burden to have. This law is counterproductive.

All of you saying it’s a good decision are gonna be hella shocked when they eventually try to use this law as a means to target Trans people and other LGBTQ people. Have you not been paying attention to all the crazies that are calling being visibly LGBTQ grooming?
