Country Legend, George Strait, Broke Records For US Concert Attendance

George Strait, along with two opening acts, packed ‘em into Kyle Field in College Station Saturday in what became a record-breaking performance.

During the show, Strait announced that more than 110,905 people were in attendance, which would make it the most-attended ticketed concert ever in the United States, topping a Grateful Dead show in New Jersey in 1977 that drew more than 107,000, according to Billboardand Audacy.

Kyle Field’s seating capacity is 102,733, but for the concert, there was floor seating added and standing room only.

The show in College Station was Strait’s only show in Texas on his current tour. It was also the first-ever concert at Kyle Field.

He does! I bought tickets to the show in NC for my husband for Christmas and we went June 1. It was a good show. Completely different atmosphere than a Gaga show, but still was good.

George is genuinely one of the most honorable men I can think of, I have never even heard a bad word about him from anybody. Unlike the country posers of today who only take on a fake country persona, he is the real deal because he worked on a ranch before getting into music and still likes doing it now as a hobby

I saw him in concert a few years ago and he looked and sounded great voice, I could not believe he was in his 70s. We could use more of the humility and class of George Strait in a world of pathetic bro country like Morgan Wallen
