your loss then! her extremely short discography is stellar and deserves all the hype that’s been following her since the beginning of her career. even if she never releases music again those works aren’t going anywhere and hopefully a new generation of listeners will give her a chance, because 2013’s Sky deserves it!

She did the same thing in LA on the 25th. She was on 2 hours late. I for one liked when we were in the dark - she only did it for one song and it was a vibe. I’m not the biggest fan and was invited to the show - I do love some of her songs and she sounded f*cking fantastic which is part of what made me kinda sad. I don’t know her lore like that but some folks were saying she was drunk af at the strip club shortly before getting to the venue to perform. She kept saying “I’m sorry” and other kinds of apologies after every other kind of song and it was weird. Like girlie don’t apologize to us, apologize to yourself and let people help you if you need help. (Again I lack a lot of knowledge on the matter with her situation). But at least she sounded great and the fans were enjoying themselves. Odd dynamic there too though where fans in the audience were also kinda dragging her and making little shady comments here and there in between singing their hearts out. Definitely a weird experience! But I had fun and wish her the best - it is sad that is is to be expected.

No shade but as a musician myself just now getting into her despite growing up with her music in the background - like this is straight facts. For her to have just one ten year old album and older than that EP out and still be able to play big shows regardless of whether they sell out or not is an INSANE testament to the quality of the music. Watching her live the other week I was low key like “I guess I don’t need stage presence, just a handful of PERFECT songs and I’m set for a decade” 🥴

You don't have to hopelessly fan out. You can still appreciate an amazing body of work.

Her album is a masterpiece, but don't hold your breath for the new one.

Being independent and a perfectionist are no excuse for what's been going on with her career the past few years. Just like with Grimes, it's a whole mess.
