Bronco 5,743
Honestly yeah for someone at Billie's stage in her career it'd be mental. But I don't think it's that crazy for an artist with 10+ years and multiple albums under their belt. You can never make every fan happy sure, even by elongating a setlist. But if you are fit enough & able enough to deliver the additional hour, do it. When I look at my favourite artists - Kylie, Gaga, P!nk. (Excluding Madonna as she just did one) I'd pay ridiculous money for a greatest hits tour that hit the 30 to 40 song mark like the Eras Tour. And I'd ****ing lap up every second.
StrawberryBlond 14,014
Didn't agree about nobody wanting 16 tracks but a 3 hour show sounds a bit more unreasonable for sure. But clearly, a lot of Swifties are happily paying for it right now so I don't get her insistence on saying "nobody wants that" at the end. I understand why she as a performer doesn't want that but current events suggest otherwise. It's moments like this that I see where the accusations of shade are coming from. But I think they're wholly deserved, so yeah. I think the idea that this is some sort of female-on-female hatred is overblown. Nobody would say this if they were male artists. It would just be considered one of them rightfully dissing the other for having the gall to re-release their highly successful album in their debut week. Male artists wouldn't stand for that level of disrespect but women are expected to let it fly and be all "live laugh love?" It's far more sexist to have different standards than the same ones. angelduuh 319
I love the fact that she is shading Taylor so much. But hey, I would go to a 3 hour Gaga show. I wouldn't get bored of Gaga.

I mean Billie's been making several good points about flaws in the music industry... it's not her fault Taylor is checking all the boxes 2 1

holy scheisse 21,609
Can confirm I got tired of Taylor’s show halfway through lol
AntonTurnItUp 7,047
Her music sounds the same, obviously nobody wants that. If her catalogue were more diverse, of course people would like to watch a three hour show, a good three hour show.
Tinnitus15 50,491
I mean I get this “fake” beef. But come on, Billie. That starts to sound fishy. First the variants, now this. Everyone knows Taylor and how she claps back. At this point don’t be surprised if she shades you for that 3hour show thing. And I say it as a swiftie, who didn’t like the whole thing taylor did( cuz obviously Billie deserved that #1 for this amazing album)
weed 70,901
If you don’t have the stamina just say that! I think it’s very impressive to be able to perform for 3 hours straight, full of visuals and design. Especially if tickets are gonna be hundreds of dollars, the longer the better in my opinion 1
AMRer 2,767
She is stating her opinion, I know, but using words like "psychotic" or "nobody wants that" feels so disrespectful and out of touch

Not a Taylor fan but I do love Billie. I don't think her intention has been to shade Taylor but the constant articles and questions have clicked some boxes and fans just keep speculating or are paranoid that it's all about her. First of all, the variant LPs, she was talking about artists having to do all of these versions for competition and how wasteful it is. She did this with Happier Than Ever and talked about at least going for a less wasteful way to do these things and that she was also doing it for the new album, same thing with recycled parts. Swifties immediately jumped on her because Taylor had been announcing her limited version variants and then Billie posted that she wasn't putting fingers at anyone, that it was something they were all doing, herself (Billie) included. The 16 track album being too long. Again she was talking about Happier Than Ever and that she and Finneas felt too confident and cocky about their songwriting that they didn't want to think too much about the songs they were making. Finneas said that he started production on a song and by the next day he was like "Done!" and they put it on the album so it was just their way of saying that compared to Hit Me Hard and Soft, the 10 tracks they made were growing up together and were well thought and planned to be there and wanted to tell a story of them together as one piece. Again Tortured Poets is 16 tracks and fans speculated that it was about Taylor's double album being too long. Then the "Nobody wants a 3 hour show". Billie had been doing a Q&A on Twitter and reading questions. She said that Beyoncé and Taylor were masters at what they were doing for having all those monster shows. The whole context of this comment was that she was trying to decide which songs would make the final setlist and probably not all of the new songs would be there but most will. Then she said that "I'm not doing a 3 hour show" because people keep tweeting that she should extend it or something. Who else is doing these long ass shows? Taylor so of course people are jumping to think that this is shade to the Eras Tour being like 4 hours long. And to be honest yes nobody is doing a 44 setlist tour. It is exhausting but it's the way it is. I love Billie and want to think that she's not trying to shade anyone but it does seem like she has no filter when it comes to these interviews and can be easily missunderstood. ryansamonster 1,501
@Anderson123 I watched the Zane interview where Billie and Finneas were speaking about some of the things you brought up. I didn’t realize that’s where this partly stems from. It didn’t seem like she was calling anyone out in particular. Thanks for the insight though I was wondering if there was real beef or not. This is mostly the internet/stans then. However!! I do find it a bit sus that Taylor released those singles and blocked Billie. Not a chartster I’m just like gurl why did you do that??

Yes it's very fishy how things were doing that week. We know Taylor is super sneaky with these things and I wouldn't be surprised if word on the street got to her with everything that was happening. Between the new signed CDs, the remix with the environmental person (passive aggressive behavior?), 3 albums with voice memos, 3 albums with live versions, etc. it's just too much in one week for it to be a coincidence.
