Have you not heard of the “angry black woman stereotype?” Because of that user’s two other posts - it comes off that that is what they are fixated on.

Ppl literally jump to these conclusions on 8 second vids regardless of who it is.

I think everything is more than clear. She was behaving agressive with the staff member on the festival.

But how do you know her "behaviour" according to you was unwarranted? Why was that security guard so close to her? I don't see any reason why that security guard should be in Kelly's personal space like that when she was just waving hi to her fans. Besides She was already going up

I just can't imagine them ushering beyonce or Gaga in such a nonchalant rude way .

yall are so weird dragging her and her career over a situation you have minimal information about.

Welcome to GGD If You Say So Shrug GIF

You could change "her" for any other pop girl out there who is not Gaga and you would still be right :ladyhaha:

I wont argue that - I think people come to conclusions all the time when it comes to these videos. However their comments still come off as racially biased.

I think it would sound more racially biased if it was criticism on anger or reaction in a situation or nuance where other would be more likely to get a pass or excused

If its a situation where everyone regardless of race or gender tends to get these conclusions, I dont think race/gender should be a factor tbh

But like yeah there is a stereotype for the angry black woman. So i dont ur view point is totally warped or wrong but, i jusy dont agree it applies in this particular circumstance entirely cuz again, i feel a white man would just as much get this criticism from at least a couple users tbh. And because it was against a female guard probably even fewer would give the benefit of the doubt if were being entirely honest

Why is that some kind of pass now for being agressive (if that is what occured)?

I dont think we should be passing off judgements on such a short video anyway... but i just dont get why in a situation like this race and gender even matter. One is not more entitled to be agressive and rude than another assuming the reaction was not called for

those of us who have experienced racism/prejudice can usually read between the lines and are able to snuff it out

we know what that user was really trying to say (or at least aching to) :partysick:

Seeing people who were there/know what's going on start to respond, including Nikki Fowler. And they're calling out the prejudice and different treatment of Kelly and other Black people in attendance.

How security is endlessly patient towards the attendees who "pass" the paperbag test and belittle, rush, mock, and mistreat the few black/brown people who are invited to attend.

This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss.

She did not need to lift her finger and start going off like that. Even if the security guard did something why would you go off like that on a red carpet in public lol. I wish people wouldn't make this a race thing but not surprised some think it is. This is about decent human behaviour and the fair treatment of those who are working under you. If Gaga did this I'd say the same thing except for she would never do this.

Guys this is not AMC. This is literally the biggest film festival in the world. They don’t have time to wait for her. They did not touch her, also don’t forget it’s not the US. There is not the same systemic racism than in the US.
she s no Beyoncé for who they might have delayed the movie start of a few minutes. The security guard just pressed her cause she had to

Girl is coming to a film festival, it is my understanding she and 90% of the celebs don’t give a **** about that but there’s 0 reason they should hold a screening for her. Get in the room and take a seat, literally.
