Happens to someone every year, and indeed the UK is not popular + one of the big five.

the worst part about this is since UK automatically qualifies for the final, he cannot even say "well at least we made it this far" :toofunny:

like there's no way to make it into something good

and people didn't even choose him to represent UK, since he was selected internally

Couldn't happen as there are rules in place that prevent overly big names from representing countries as it's of course unfair to a degree. This is why it mystifies me how year after year, Brits are still asking "why don't we get someone like Adele or Harry Styles to represent us?" It's like, isn't it not obvious why this doesn't happen? Because the UK is the most prolific country in Europe in terms of famed and successful musical output, it would be a walkover for us every time. Hence, we're usually stuck with a C-lister or a complete unknown who doesn't stand a chance every year.

All that aside, good call, Falling Forever really does sound like a Eurovision song and a good one at that. She needs to release it as a single, it's one of the most liked tracks on the album, would be the most energetic single so far, shows off her vocals and it's perfect for summer.

Is "sounds like an Eurovision song" a compliment?

was actually talking to a (non-eurovision) friend about this and i made them listen to all the songs and they said that the one that "sounds like it would be played on radio" was the best so maybe a "Eurovision sounding song" isn't a compliment

Dua plays on another level. So yes. She would win. Disguised as the Masked Singer.

And no. An Eurovision sounding song is not a compliment.

Late to the party but I got a diamond heart
