SwissMonster 29,120
The opening ceremony will take place sunday may 11th at 14:00 CET for everyone who wants to tune in! It is now official that it will be the longest turquoise carpet in history and it has a cute twist that I am sure will be so lovely! They will start at our townhall and walk to a oldtimer tram this one will bring them at walking pace to the eurovision village where fans will welcome them. The route also croses the rhein which will give everyone an amazing view over the city. It will all be accompanied by musicians dancers and singers, leading up to one big parade. Were in for a treat of an opening ceremony y’all Edited April 14 by SwissMonster SwissMonster®️ - Creating controversy since 1999
SwissMonster 29,120
I said it before but I am so proud of our city and the love, detail and respect they put into eurovision. Its kinda a shame the songs are mid this year, but seeing everything planned around it and the dedication the people of Basel have for the contest makes up for it! SwissMonster 29,120
Also I don’t know if this is done every year hut they gave each of the 3 shows a theme. The first being focused on switzerland, the second one is dedicated to eurovision fans (apparently fans will be included in the show like never before, whatever that means lol) and the grand final will be focused on the host city and winners SwissMonster®️ - Creating controversy since 1999

Dutch 91,355
Seems like we will get a 2020 interval act with The Roop performing On Fire and Efendi also being confirmed (probably singing her 2020 song Cleopatra). I can see Gjon’s Tears, Victoria, Destiny and Daði og Gagnamagnið also added to the lineup. https://x.com/theroopband/status/1914599693050347932?s=46&t=nRoS-67USduXRCLm6ke9kQ

Thank you for your kind words, that makes me truly happy. It wasn't on mine either, but it's finally Eurovision time again and I've been missing discussing Eurovision here. So I spontaneously popped in. Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?

Tho I think Hold Me Closer and Tattoo were great authentic real songs. Brining Swedish to the stage again is also a huge win. But I wanted Scarlet aswel. I still think KAJ will do great nevertheless in this weak year. Good luck with listening to all the songs. How have you been? Yeah that is true. There have been some ups and downs, but over all I've been good thanks. How have you been? I've been listening to all songs a few times now and my current favorites are Finland and Switzerland. Malta has been stuck in my head for a while too. Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?
Bellatrix 34,796
Looks like we won't be seeing Måns Zelmerlöw in any Eurovision context anytime soon. Since Melfest he has been in an ugly divorce. Yesterday he admitted a recent cocaine addiction and today it got revealed that his soon-to-be ex wife Ciara has reported him to the police for being violent with her. Difficult to imagine that about him. Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?
