I plan on going to this JLo tour since I’ve never seen her and know she is a fantastic dancer. I hope to get a good spot at a decent price since there is still a good amount of availability. 

 

You definitely missed seeing a real legend. Now her ticket prices are way higher than then. Tbh The Butterfly Returns was a flop haha.

Besides the humour, I would definitely see Jlo. Even though I’m a lamb, I respect her as a performer. She always puts on a good show.

I feel really bad for her tbh. I saw an interview of her talking about the album & the accompanying films and she was clearly super excited and passionate about the whole project.

Clearly not many are interested in the new album, hence this “greatest hits” rebrand. 

I haven’t heard anything from it or watched the film. I’ve honestly never heard any of her albums in their entirety so I am one of those “oh it’s a greatest hits tour, I might check it out” folks.

The show I plan on going to is about half way sold. The prices are very steep so perhaps JLo and her promoters need to humble themselves with that pricing. She could also add one or two decent names as openers. They will promote it with all those hits and it will be an 80-90% attendance rate and maybe cut down on the production budget.

My guess is due to her use of playback.. 

When you're not singing live, audiences aren't impressed..unless you're a true legend like Britney, this type of pull is expected.

I would have expected her to do mainly hits anyway. She probably was only going to do 4-5 songs off the new album, even if it was named after it. Now there will probably be zero songs from the new album.

Not really. She hasn’t even started tour rehearsals. She ain’t Madonna. Madonna rehearses for months. J Lo is currently shooting “kiss of the spider woman” in NYC from April to early June. Her first dates are in August.

My issue with her is that she was so willing to become famous out of a producer’s spite for Mariah Carey, has been known to fully take songs and leave the original person’s vocals and sign it off her own, and LOUDLY rep a hood for decades that she’s done NOTHING for since becoming famous. It’s gross behavior. Don’t even get me started on her failed skincare brand that she marketed as being authentic, when everyone knows doctors are what keep her looking young.

Uhh well, she was famous long before the Mariah drama. Smash singles, album, movies, Golden Globe nomination.

 

Perhaps Tommy was intentionally trying to sabotage Mariah, but do we know for sure JLo was aware of his intentions? I do think it possible Tommy maliciously presented the idea to JLo and she jumped on it seeing a potential hit, which she shouldn't have done. That would be petty. But I don't think she was in cahoots with Tommy to sabotage Mariah.

 

If she's really done nothing for her hometown, then that's not cool.

 

I'm a huge fan of both ladies. I wish Mariah would sit down with JLo and hash this out. I bet Mariah would be surprised to know the truth of what really happened back then.

 

And I would like to meet one of these avon ladies that doesn't have a doctor on call. From JLo to Gwen to Madonna to Gaga. It's clear they've all seen many a needle and/or scalpel.
