Real Panda 7,593 Posted September 21 Share Posted September 21 This movie messed me up. I only watched 1 trailer of this and its not what I thought it would be. I thought this would be something else but its not. My goodness, this was pretty good. This is the best acting I've seen from Channing Tatum and great directorial debut for Zoe Kravitz. The second half is definitely better than the first half which I thought dragged a little bit but it was all worth it once the second half starts. In the US, I don't think it made a wave at all, but glad to see some horror fans give it the praise that it deserves! I'm back to read everyone's thoughts on The Substance - it was so wild! Its unsettling, creepy, and gets unhinged as the movie progresses. The plot isnt new or groundbreaking but it is very well done and some very good acting performances all around.
