I agree with you but those movies don’t flop. They’re like guaranteed money makers for studios, and also do really well on streaming. 
 

jurassic park has a very dedicated fan base

I would love the next one to go dark science fiction horrific thriller à la Alien tbh.

I think there's potential for Jurassic to bend a bit more in horror now that Colin Trevorrow from JW trilogy is gone.

1. I really hate when they reboot an old franchise and milk the **** out of it

2. This isn't really related but for some reason in my brain it is.. a friend of mine used to work in a zoo here and she led the encounters with the cheetahs, and one day there was a private booking. She went to work like normal and got herself ready for the encounter.. and in walks Scarlett Johansson and her husband and child. Pretty crazy situation to just randomly be in, in charge of keeping Scarlet Johansson and her family safe while they pet a cheetah. I think she was in town for Ghost In The Shell. Anyway idk, dinosaur park, zoo, ScarJo

To be truly honest most sequels are not really necessary and are always made for money purpose. Joker sequel is in the exact same box

 

That said Juarssic is Universal own Star Wars type of franchise. The last three movies made +1 billion dollars. There's always audience interest for any Jurassic movie happening even if they release 10 more of it in the future.

Just hope this new movie uses more feathered dinosaurs.. Also being more creative about all genetic modification to get them right.
And I wish they get the scary part of the old movies back too

Tbh I'm down for this, people will always love dinosaurs so why not connect it to the biggest franchise around it?

They need to give us something completely different now tho, would love it to go the horror route.

Although the Jurassic Park+World storyline is finished, I could still see Jeff Goldblum or another character making a cameo. Nick Robinson announced that he would love to be part of it.

I'm curious about how they're gonna name it tho...
