Of course you're gonna think the video we got fit the vibes of SL more because that's the only thing we can compare this to From the art alone, this looks better and more interesting than what we got it's not mental gymnastics, it's just true... SL is very upbeat and one of the lightest songs on the album, these concepts seem very dark mother, what must i do?

It definitely feels like a tribute to all of her previous eras though, which is very cool. I think we both know Gaga doesn’t wait for a concept vibe to fit a song, she’ll make that ish fit somehow some way 1

I'm sure she could've found a way to create dark aesthetics for a song like SL. Most of her music videos don't fit the "vibe" of the song, but that doesn't make them any less good. hieronymus 9,680
oooh. It's like a lovecraftian version of Dracula's journey on the Demeter. It's odd that she's had 2 major scrapped music video concepts involving sea creatures. Also if those and the original '13 VMA performance had been completed, I wonder how differently she'd be regarded today. 2
elijahfan 24,869
Way too expensive to make. She didn't even have that kind of budget for BTW. 1

It's a sexy hoedown song but the video looks like Rob Zombie's wet dream Edited March 13 by hieronymus 1

She's not paying for her music videos with her own money, it's not 2009 anymore.

Mysterious factory???... then suddenly a sea battle with Cthulu-Ga... then CthuluGa is captured and... dunked in a vat of Joker acid or something? And she hatches out of the acid as a human and they all have a dance party and escape to the sewers? Lol I like the plot, it's so campy and 80s cartoon, but it would go better with Plastic Doll or Enigma than Stupid Love imo I see it like this: Gaga is a cecaelia (what Ursula from The Little Mermaid is. Half human/half octopus) and she has all these vessels with other fellow dormant cecaelia creatures on the sea floor. They grab the vessels with a crane and lift them out of the sea, onto their boat, to put them in their secret base for inspection/experimentation Gaga finds out, emerges from the sea and tries to fight back to keep her “children” (think of Born This Way ‘new race born’ type concept) but they capture her with huge nets. They transfer her and the others to the labs, and they have her chained up, doing experiments on her. All while she’s trying to break free. They dip her and the others into acid, in hopes of killing them, but it just transforms them into more a human, and they attack the ones that captured and hurt them as revenge. Then you have a dance in the middle of a murder scene (like Telephone dance break at the diner) Ends with Gaga and her children of new Monsters, escaping the facility and emerging from underground in the city. Yes, I just came up with my own storyline based on these pictures 1 2
petty 9,412
The comments about the concept not matching the song are funny to me because this is often what Gaga does with her music videos. She did it with paparazzi, bad romance, Alejandro, telephone etc. I miss when she had outlandish concepts for videos that gave a new light to the song. And this concept could have done that

I really wish we got the original The Edge of Glory music video featuring Yüyi The Mermaid like planned The military personnel, the surgery doctor sets, the Brooklyn Bay bridge set, the Latin lover interest, the “big underwater dance number.” ugh it was gearing up to be epic I wonder if part of the reason she’s scrapped these big sea creature videos is because CGI for water effects is too expensive. Especially if you plan on having big underwater scenes, and don’t want it to look bad or cheesy or like a video game or too much green screen. 2 1 1

GagaGame 2,997
I don't understand why people say that the vibe doesn't match the song. For me it doesn't, but you guys need to remember we have the Paparazzi, Telephone, Alejandro and G.U.Y video, and also the scrapped MANiCURE and DWUW vids LG7? Ultimecia 6,025
To be honest, 911's MV does not fit the vibe of the song at all either and yet it's real. Time. It will not wait, no matter how hard you hold on...

Actually, a whole Chromatica visual album concept
