Michael is very involved in biotech stuff and it makes sense to me that they would be doing these things together now. She probably really believes these companies and products are a force for good. Maybe they are! I’m always a little skeptical lol but it does make me feel better that she’s not just taking any pay cheque that crosses her desk, it’s probably a Whole Thing for her now Thanks Michael According to the article, Sean Parker is a shareholder, so probably Michael. I wouldn't be surprised if Gaga is a shareholder, not just an ambassador.
Schwerk 6,984
I can't help but lol a little over the woman in the back smoking at an event about life-threatening illnesses. Still wonder if Michael was the one that 'won' the auction of a dinnerdate with Gaga at one of Sean Parkers events back in 2019. There was some video of the auction, but I can't find it anymore. They paid like 1 million dollars. Interesting that she's using her house or technically garden to host, I'd imagine that big greenhouse looking tent being set up would've sparked wedding rumors or something, but she can do quite a lot 'unnoticed' luckily. (After the fact we ofcourse hear about it.) Edited March 1 by Schwerk According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch 1

I personally never had an issue with her doing Nurtec campaigns because I know she has struggled with debilitating migraines for years and there are very little options for treatments, and if she finds that it helps, she would be a perfect and genuine spokesperson to showcase its efficacy. Sometimes prescription drugs are the only solution for certain conditions and I always found it unfortunate that people don’t understand that and categorize every pharmaceutical drug as poison or an absolute danger. Yes, big pharma is evil and corrupt beyond measure, but modern pharmaceuticals can also provide relief and treatment for millions of people that would otherwise be chronically suffering from a wide range of medical conditions. That said, I don’t know much about this venture specifically, but I trust Gaga. If she pursues something like this, it is because she believes there is a greater good behind it. She’s been working so hard for her entire life and she has every right to live her personal life however she wants. Curious to see what her and Michael do moving forward together I have never had a problem with Gaga promoting a medicine. What is problematic, that advertising of prescription drugs is allowed in the USA, but this also only shows that the entire US healthcare system is problematic. In the EU a lot of famous people advertise non-prescription drugs and nobody cares.

I have always considered myself lucky to live in the EU. Since last year, for example, the treatment of a rare newborn condition has been free in my country. They previously did not live to adulthood due to their serious illness. The treatment costs about $2M, but the kids get it free. And yes, this also shows that innovative pharma is extremely expensive, but life saving.

Especially the American healthcare system…. well it costs money and a lot of people doing their job for a living to research, develop and bring to the public any treatment commercialising treatments just means making it available, up to the government if they want to spend the money to buy it and make it easily affordable through healthcare https://linktr.ee/jamalholt

KindnessPunk 1,760
Seeing that pic of her backyard / pool reminds me of that scene in 5’2 where she was doing a photoshoot in that pool and in a voiceover she was talking about how lonely she felt all the time. I’m so glad to see her having people over (in the same backyard!) and hosting an event alongside her s.o. , like the GROWTH that that shows, for her to be so happy in her life right now compared to back then, I’m very happy for her
avalon x 4,081
Y'all, at this point Gaga is moving into such massive and impactful projects (especially with her connections through Michael). We should just let her do her thing and not even pretend to understand it. Knowing Gaga her intentions are likely good, so I'm not woried about it. 2

I think this is really worth work tbh. I just wish she was more up front and said "I'm dedicating a big part of my life to research for new medications that will help people, so moving forward I'm excited to start letting everyone know about some brands that I think are doing great work and new medications that I believe in" rather than just throwing a sponsored ad on Instagram 3 hours ago, dit said: I love that they are developing those life threatening meds but are they affordable? or is it just big pharma again? "life threatening" lmao But yeah I agree with this as well. As long as it comes from a pure place or trying to actually help people and not a place of profit. Purposefully profiting off the sick and needy who need medication to have a quality of life or survive is disgusting and so unethical. I like to believe that even though Gaga has declared herself a capitalist she is still a good person Edited March 2 by Helxig I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
Rat Q 539
I just wanna say, with people who demonize big pharma (I mean I do too), I agree there should be no monetization or revenue whatsoever when it come to the health and lives of human beans and it’s atrocious that so many literally have to pay to be alive and lots of times sacrifice everything else in their lives just to get the care/medicine they need to stay alive. But I also want to say I, with immense mental illness, solely rely on my prescriptions to keep ME alive. I’m diagnosed with schizophrenia, gad, cptsd, agoraphobia, schizotypal pd blablablaaaa, and ffs if the lordT didn’t give me this day my daily meds I would thrown back in the loony bin in not even a hot minute, like a lukewarm minute I would be psychotic and raving in a handful of days. I am so grateful for my meds they changed my life (along with crazy amounts of work on myself but I wouldn’t be able to do that without the relative stability my meds provide me) ,,but ALSO I am so very lucky to have my prescriptions provided to me WITHOUT cost since because am native and go to a tribal clinic which has an amazing pharmacy and v bad docs generally lol,, 🤷🏻 but anyways. I’m sure Gaga feels very passionate about this subject in many ways for many reasons which we actually do know,, "Hesperus is Phosphorus" 1 1
