The release was timed for the UK, hence why it was weird in the US (in California it was 3 PM).  IMO the Grammys helped people get excited for the song, since everyone had no idea what it was at first.

She'll be fine. Regardless of whether the song lands somewhere in the top 5, 10 or in this case somewhere between 1 & 40, the song will perform well or do about as well as it's meant to. She has a pretty decent connection with the GP and her songs are usually radio friendly so Training Season may not smash but it'll be fine.

It is strange to be fair how even after FN she doesn't have the power to secure high debut positions.

I still think this era should have been released a year earlier, DSN will be half a decade old later this year

She should have released the song the Friday before the Grammy's. It would have had at least a little bit better of a chance taking off that way.

EDIT: After reading some replies, I miss when artists would slightly stagger there releases for different markets. Not severe like with Britney during the conservatorship, but just a little to better fit international chart cycles.

At this point, it doesn't matter what peak the song reaches.

Houdink was released 3 months ago, it is still performing good on Streaming and in my country the song is #3 and #4 on radil top playlists. It's all about longevity
