I love this for Taylor, and she deserves all her success, because she’s an excellent business woman. However, if Gaga was releasing this much music, this often, it would feel, idk, not special anymore and kinda generic and cheap? I’m glad Taylor’s fans are fed, but I’d rather get fed adequately and with substance.

TBH this type of release schedule was pretty common in the 70s, 80s, and 90s which are kind of considered the golden decades for music so idk how true that would be. So much of Lady Gaga's own inspiration comes from dozens of releases from those time periods that are considered modern classics, so idk. If anything, Gaga releasing new music every 2 or so years would give her the opportunity diversify her discography a bit. More releases present to let her try out new sounds without alienating her core fan base too much, simply because there'd be another record around the corner :gaysia: But alas, her priorities seem to have shifted on trying to get acclaim in movies over music. Sad but that seems to be how it goes.

If you consider projects like ASIB and her Jazz albums, they've put out similarly over the years in terms of quantity. Gaga just has a lot more side projects and Taylor devotes all her time to making music for her albums.

Can she just... go away on a three years holiday break or something?

What do you mean, she and Yoncé kept pop alive when everyone doing "another ventures", and y'all hate her for it?  :triggered:

Additionally this is pretty common for all other genres. Rap artists I follow have content being pushed out every year, or every other year, consistently (though it's usually singles or EPs in between larger albums). Same for country and quite a few indie artists.

He was right about there being a suspicious gap in releases but its still to be seen if anything else he said is accurate.

Just from the album cover I think this is going to be a mix of Folklore with a less commercial version of Midnights in terms of sound.

For all the folk that are hating on the announcement and on Taylor: just leave the thread. Why discuss something you hate so much?? …. Right? Let us Swifites enjoy!!!

I was gonna say, the off-the-shoulder vibes make me think this will be a very sensual or more sexually explicit album. Nothing crazy, obviously, but less innocent than past albums.
