Honestly since Cheek to Cheek was announced I didn't get the whole Gaga and Tony friendship but after seeing this I now understand how important he was for Gaga, he really believed in her when her confidence was shattering. I'm surprised they showed all those intimate moments and I couldn't but feel sorry for Tony. well that's my opinion, regarding the docu itself, big spoilers ahead Spoiler There's basically like four timelines, 2011, 2013-14, 2018 and 2021. First it's when they recorded The Lady is a Tramp, it was really cute, Gaga was indeed really nervous and that's when she sang Princess Die to Tony. Then it goes back to 2013 when Gaga was in the middle of the AP era, there's not much to say about this, it's barely mentioned but it's clear Gaga is in emotional pain and that's when Tony invites Gaga for CTC, we get to the see the recording sessions, and I believe that's when she sang Captivated, Tony was really supportive for Gaga back then, we get to see all those personal moments. Then it's all about their press tour and them touring around the globe. Also there's footage of Tony's 90th birthday and Gaga singing La vie en rose for all the guests. Then it goes for the LFS recording sessions that's where it gets sad because we can see how deteriorated Tony is, it's really personal from there. Gaga sings Just Another Day for him while recording the LFS video or during the album sessions, can't remember (Do not trust me on this but I'm pretty sure it was JAD, sorry I'm not the biggest Joanne fan), also there's footage of them doing the LFS photoshoot. We then got to see Gaga in Tony's apartment where we can see how bad Tony is, I was in tears towards the end when it's clear Tony is not "there" anymore, he barely recognized Gaga. The last part is them doing the Radio Music Hall show, the final scene after is heartbreaking. It ends with Do I Love You for the credits. This made me a little emotional reading and I can only imagine the images attached to it Also I hope the responsible team will just release it atp.
