I could see her doing something wild and announcing like 4 hours before the drop. We saw the way she handled Harlequin! And the culture moves quickly, even a 24-48 hour advance notice loses momentum pretty quickly these days.

It’s exhausting, but at the same time, this is classic Gaga behavior. She teased ARTPOP June 2012 to only release the album in November 2013. Stupid Love was leaked one month before release and her team didn’t do ****. Chromatica was delayed in the middle of the pandemic when we all needed something to escape that dreadful time, and we had to pass several weeks without knowing the new release date (which was awful). And now she announces LG7 officially in may 2024 to maybe release the album in February 2025. It’s not easy to be a Gaga fan

I think it speaks to how excited she gets when she's making music, which is beautiful. She gets hyped and likes to tease/post online when she's making the art, less so when she has to promote it. I also think that as effective as teasing is as a marketing strategy, there's something to be said for announcing something and it dropping it <24 hours later, especially when you're at Gaga's level of stardom. It would be so cringe if she was doing like... countdown posts or something. She's Lady Gaga!!

To be fair, in-between initially teasing ARTPOP in 2012 and it's release date in 2013, she also broke her hip and required a long period of recovery (which wasn't even as long as she really needed in hindsight), that definitely pushed back the album's release.

Well to me it’s pretty much confirmed….LG7’s lead single is dropping October 25, announcement in the next week. Friday, Monday-Tuesday are most likely to me!

This is the first era for me following her roll out in real time. And…it’s not really that fun? She and her team teases for so long that the hype just dies. 
 

After LG7, I think I will just go back to being in the dark when it comes to her future projects.
