He met Gaga…

Gaga's and Ava Max's resemblance becomes more uncanny by the year. :deadbanana: This really had me fooled to the point of google search.

Anyway, he's frustrated obviously. However, if you're going to do anything remotely provocative, it's way cooler to not give a ****. The way to shut everyone up is to make sure it's good. Him & Doja are way too online/stan-twittered.

If only you had come up with an original or visually stimulating concept that we haven’t seen 50 times a year in the last 30 years then you could get some acclaim and people wouldn’t seem so tired

The way he responds sounds like he's backed into the corner....the responses are missing wit, class, and humor if he wanted to be iconic and get more PR out of it ..

Make good music and that’s enough

Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

Adds more fuel to the fire so he gets more benefit out of the controversy. Good PR tbh

It definitely does. And I can totally see his point and where he’s coming from. The wording just seemed so off and likes little rage

A lot of artists like to say "I don't copy anyone, I do my own thing", but the truth is, the inspiration from your idols is already deeply embedded in your subconscious, and it will come through in your work. There is simply no avoiding it. Even Gaga was guilty of this when she tried to distance herself from Madonna, even though it was clearly evident that she idolized her.

True, but Gaga does cite Madonna, Christina, and others as influences.

I mean, Gaga was bashed too for pulling a Madonna when Judas (even Alejandro) came out :ohwell:

It’s funny it’s used as a canonic example now. Shows you how in a few years Lil Nas could be part of that canon too when the next girl tries to be blasphemous.

i don't take the 'idgaf' as an attack. He's seems annoyed but not shady. And he probably does things like this because nowadays it's a pop standard to have big visuals, choreo and stuff.

Would be so much better and more punchy if he just responded with "stay pressed hennies"' with selfies of both of them. I would stan. Missed opportunity

I have to ask how the original poster thinks Nicki Minaj getting exorcised on stage perfoming Roman Holiday is classy :huntyga:

I didn't think Gaga owed anything to anyone when she was using religious imagery and sound during the BTW era, and I don't think Lil Nas X does either.
