I think the flack he gets from other queers is more so because he's a flamboyant queer and there's nothing other flamboyant queers find more annoying. The snippet of the song, love it. He's literally the only pop star that is controversial in the last few years. Besides Lil Nas, the only controversy I can think of since COVID started is WAP, everyone is so safe. Maybe all the weirdos who get soo pissed and angry at him will be like "that's just camp!" and they'll stop being incredibly dramatic about artistic choices. and I don't see this song/art as very controversial but I still think Lil Nas is.
