There were LOTS of rumors about Gaga having a song on the soundtrack and it almost felt like a no brainer since she is amazing friends with Mark and the album was jam packed with popgirl songs (especially empowering popgirl anthems) and Gaga is the queen of that. I genuinely believe Gaga rejected an offer maybe because she felt like she is too much in her Harleen Quinzel mind to make something so cutesy and girly? idk... Gaga is a terrible actress if that is true lol. If she can't let go of Harleen Quinzel for some reason, to record a song and cameo for a movie that's a different genre, then ... . She's a method actress When she's playing a role like Patrizia or Harley she becomes that character. Like, her personality adapts to it. It's not the healthiest but I could imagine she rejected every project while shooting for Joker just so her vibe didn't get twisted.
