He just has to hold steady, while driving down participation among his opponents, so that they stay home and don't vote at all. It's the difference between 2016 and 2020: Trump 2016: 61,817,828 Clinton 2016: 64,583,514 (Yes, Trump got fewer votes in 2016 than Hillary, by a lot. But, Electoral College.) Trump 2020: 74,223,975 Biden 2020: 81,283,501 Thirty million more total voters in 2020. And Trump actually got a lot MORE votes in 2020 than he did in 2016, but the Democratic vote grew even more. (And of course, the larger Trump vote is used -- absurdly -- by MAGAts as an argument for why he couldn't possibly have lost in 2020, ignoring the other side.) I'm really using the phrase 'gain votes' as shorthand. Persuading more people to vote for you is closely related to persuading less people to vote for the other guy. If someone voted for Biden in 2020 I don't think that rhetoric from Davis is going to do much to persuade them not to vote in 2024.

Like, I’m not saying Trump wouldn’t, because he definitely would, but when it comes to foreign policy, they are not much different at all. One of the unfortunate side effects of democracy. The overwhelming majority of Americans are supportive of Israel and were upset with Biden not doing enough to support Israel. He also supplied humanitarian aid to Gaza and was directly involved in the release of hostages and ceasefires for a number of days. He has done several speeches and other forms of communication defending the innocent Palestinians and defending Muslim Americans against Islamophobia. You will absolutely not get any of that from the man who put a Muslim travel ban into place and drone bombed the Iranian AG back in 2020.

We need to stop focussing on who has the exact same views as us and focus on who can actually LEAD the United States of America. I'm from England but even I realise that this election is crucial and the US always has a knock on effect on the rest of the world, especially us in the UK. The left Vs right is over, it's time for unity Steve Bannon and Roger Stone helped orchestrate January 6th. Bannon has said he wants to effectively ‘dismantle the state’ and is a self-professed ‘Leninist.’ My fear regarding his association w/ Bannon + Stone is that he’s being propped up as a spoiler to secure the victory for Trump. That being said, I don’t see RFK Jr. as a particularly strong leader and honestly don’t really understand the appeal. What’s more, I don’t really see him having a viable path to victory either. In every poll I’ve seen, he maxes out around 15-16% of the vote. Biden isn’t my first choice by any stretch of the imagination, but, as of right now, he’s the only viable alternative to a second Trump presidency (which would be disastrous domestically and globally). Amongst 18-34 year olds, Biden has 32%, trump has 27% and RFK has 38%. That's huge for an independent. I think we may be seeing the tide turning in the American two party political system. Honestly when was the last time a government was toppled by national unrest? It's kinda rare these days. The last example I can think of is Ukraine in 2014. France easily survived Yellow Vests movement and Macron even won reelection. Iran survived multiple protest waves. BLM protests didn't affect Trump until the elections. And the on-going protests about Palestine, although much smaller than BLMs, have little to no impact on the government policy.

It just reached the point where it’s simply unbearable and dysfunctional until one of the two major parties split. Then the cards will mix again. If anything else RFK will split the votes for one candidate enough so that the other simply can’t lose. But unless the system is completely reformed.. at most a few elections later the system will end up in the same old “lesser evil” chamber again. And the American identity is far too proud for big reforms in the political system to be approved by the public.

His ideology seems to be a mix of republican and democratic platforms. He's pro-environment, anti-corporate greed, but anti-immigration, anti "wokeness". On foreign policy, he's anti-Ukraine but pro-Israel. It's just so weird to see him be the most popular option in that age group.
