I agree. I have seen this tour and it’s truly an incredible show. I loved it. I’m going to see it twice more. I don’t think we should be denying her this success. It’s a massive production and it’s longer than most concerts with so many songs. It’s a real beast of a tour. Even if you don’t like her songs, I really think no one can deny the sheer ambition and scale of this tour and what she’s pulled off is amazing. Having said all that, I think at this point the unprecedented success of this tour is now feeding back on itself meaning I do know people who have zero interest in Taylor Swift but they are going to see the show because they want to be part of this record breaking event. The tour has become bigger than the artist in a way but of course the artist has become even bigger because of the tour.

Her music sells the tickets because of how she has marketed herself the past 15 years. If she didn't have the Kanye drama, Katy drama, Kim K drama, Spotify drama and much much more publicity stunts she wouldn't sell nearly as much as she is today. Her music is nothing special. It's all about marketing and image, that's why she is where she is.

So no, she is not a good performer and her music is mediocre at best which is a widely shared opinion.

Have you seen the Eras Tour? It's very well-constructed, it flows nicely, she plays all the hits in addition to fan-favorites, it's scripted in a way that it feels cinematic/powerful regardless if you're watching the film or a bootleg livestream. It's a solid concert

This is also particularly wild to me, when all pop girlies have had 'publicity stunts' over the years, and the namesake of this website was almost exclusively known for them in the first several years of her career. Having business savvy and knowing how to market yourself is a good trait, not a bad one.
