So it seems that yes they’ve been in contact, probably longer than we’ve known about. I’m glad they’re getting to complete Ana’s dream, I truly am. It must be so hard to do in a time of such mourning, but I know this is part of the healing process. RIP Ana, this one’s for you.

well she didn’t as of 5 days ago, so “longer than we’ve known” would be 4 days max. she died almost 10 days ago, hardly something to praise. the way this whole thing was handled on the venue’s end and taylor’s end was sickening.

Why would the family attend the tour though, like they don't have a million better things to do? Will this woman ever do anything for anyone that isn't nakedly self-serving?

It feels weird like it's too soon... it feels off to me somehow like somehow not right.

Maybe she's going to pay a tribute to her tonight because it's her last show there?

So the compensation for their dead daughter is free tickets to the Era Tour, so out of touch  :emma:

I always take caution when judging someone's grief. We have no idea what Taylor and/or her team did for this family. Maybe they requested to attend as part of their healing process? Grief is so weird and how people get through it shouldn't be judged.

This. So many are just jumping to their own conclusions.

Now people in Brazilian social media are bashing Ana’s family. Jeez, people on internet really need to learn some basic respect.

Have you considered that

1. Maybe they ASKED to be there so they could fulfill their daughter’s dream on her behalf

2. That they WANT to be there and that seeing Ana’s desire through to the end is helping them in their grief?

Y’all act like Taylor forced them to come. They wouldn’t be there if they didn’t have a desire and reason to be, and by the looks of it this means a lot to them

You don’t know these people, you don’t know what conversations have been had behind closed doors, and you especially don’t know what this means to them.

What we do know is that she has been in contact, she has assisted them financially (as revealed in an article from the Washington Post and various other outlets), and has made a point to show them support.

She has not done it in full view of cameras because perhaps she realizes that’s not the way to do it?

We don’t have a right to know what is happening in private. All we know is what her family allows us to know. Making assumptions in the place of knowledge we have no business of is really gross given the circumstances.

People express and cope with their grief in different ways.

I went to a U2 concert my Dad’s place because he passed away and it was so healing to get to carry forward and do what he wanted to do the way he wanted to do it. No reason to believe this isn’t the same for them.

She has given the family money. We don’t know what for—and it isn’t our business to know—but the Washington Post confirmed it.

You don't know them either, you don't know the *real* Taylor, we don't know the *real* celebrities we stan, we don't know what's really going behind the scenes, what's their team are scheming.

It's all starts and ends with a PR emergency, Taylor and her team just wants this bad PR to be in the past.

The biggest problem is that Taylor is in the position of power here, we are talking about an American power house vs. a local family, with low income, from Brazil, who the hell will even help them to get justice? can they even get justice? so the easiest thing to do is to give them free tickets, a short meet and greet and in return they will have to shut up about the whole situation..  it's just how celebrities and rich people works, no matter how lovely they are.
