What proof do we have that Troy can veto the release of unreleased music

Is this just an assumption people are making, or is there proof? Has she ever said so in an interview (unlikely), or was it in the 2020 legal docs? Or is it just people making assumptions about how the music industry works?

 

I saw somebody making a very good point that DJWS was able to release the instrumental to Ratchet years after he and Gaga split. 

 

Just curious to know really as it's a point that's brought up quite a bit but I don't know if it's true.

I doubt it has anything to do with Troy.

Unpopular opinion: I don't think Gaga "wants" to release ARTPOP, even if some fans want it. It was a difficult time for her, and her worst reviewed album. Also, the sound now would be dated....my guess is critics would hate it even if fans love it.

I think she appreciates the love, but doesn't want to release it. She's never promised anything or even hinted at releasing it after 2013...-only DJWS. But fans will get angry at her.

Exactly, people seem to forget this very essential point. It’s no secret that this era was challenging for Gaga to an almost self-destructive degree, so I don’t blame her for not wishing to revisit that.

It might be fond memories for fans, but to her, for all we know, this could actually be triggering.

I’m tired of fans trying to justify Gaga’s laziness, especially with ARTPOP saying that it was a dark time for her, I don’t buy that story.

I mean, she’s in a very privileged position, she’s MILLIONAIRE, she could literally hire the best psychologists and psychiatrists in the world to treat her mental issues, a lot of people don’t have that chance and they move forward. She’s just lazy and selfish, she knows what her fans want and decides to give a f, the Gaga I fell in love with would’ve done something special for her fans on this day, not this generic artist she became.

Not that he vetos it but that the legal stuff is not worth it to Gaga to put energy or effort at this point (and her label probably doesn't see money in it for them)

That’s what I’m talking about, “fans” like you think that they have to praise everything she does, and can’t say an honest opinion, if you are tired of it ignore my post and don’t quote me.

I still like her stuff but I don’t consider myself a stan anymore. If she started her career being that lazy she wouldn’t be as famous as she used to.

tbf though, as soon as the next thing drops we're all gonna forget this and fall completely in love again. she knows this, at the end of the day it's nothing deeper than we haven't been fed in a while and we HUNGRY

I hope so, because with Chromatica she started with the laziness again, It’s like she does things by halves, I know about all the COVID situation  but Chromatica was the perfect era to use all the technology on her side and to have a real era like she used to do in the past.

bestie a full blown era would be lovely with all the bells and whistles but i think that ship has sailed. maybe the new gaga isn't for you and that's okay
