Economy 53,013
https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/livestory/live-updates-byelection-chicoutimi-le-fjord-vancouver-capilano-beaches-east-york-9.7327074 Canada just had by-elections to fill 3 vacant seats in the house of commons and the Liberals absolutely teared all 3. This further solidifies the Liberals Majority under Mark Carney In 1 of the ridings the Liberals won by over 50% margin over the runner-up (Conservatives). It is also reported that some 40% of voters turned up which is quite high for by-elections showing an energized voter base. 1
Economy 53,013
@Bronco this is crazy. This has got to be one of the strongest party come backs in history. Before Trudeau resigned the Liberals approval rating was as abysmal as it can get. At one point Trudeau approval rating dropped to something rediculously low like 22%. Even Trump has not gotten that low

SavetheEarthNow 214
Again an absolute false narrative from the OP. These are areas where a by-election took place and Liberals were always going to win because the areas are parts of metropolitan cities where Liberal candidates always have a 60-40 chance. The Green and Conservative candidates rarely win in these areas. And also AI is being used to meddle in the elections. Yes and no Greater Toronto and Vancouver were indeed previous Liberal seats, so a win was not a surprise. However, the Québec one in the Saguenay region was a true wild card, considering it's been a Conservative seat since 2018, and they are a fertile region for the Bloc Québécois (a Québec-only federal party). So a Liberal win is already impressive, but with a 50%+ result, and the Conservative at 12%, it's truly a big deal.

The margins they won by were higher than usual, one literally 50%, and one of the ridings was aparently a swing not all 3 were always liberal ridings So again, what falsehood did I tell? LOVEDRUG 11,335
Though the LPC is broadly too statist for me. Carney is undoubtedly one of the most impressive G7 leaders in a while. As said earlier in this thread, this has to be one of the most impressive comebacks for a party in history. Trump/Musk etc are really starting to hurt their "allies" outside of America each time they interfere. The gays know how to party
