So, I’m going to be taking a break off of GGD for a while soon as I’m just finding it quite overwhelming recently. But, I just wanted to give my opinion on everything that has gone on over the past 3-4 years really and some things I think should happen. 

First off I think Gaga needs a HUGE rebrand, new management, new team, new creatives etc. also completely wipe her instagram and save HL promo for the official page and use her personal for updates and music/film stuff. I think certain things in her career are just not working as well anymore and a new team would be the best option for this. 

I do understand why Gaga has distanced herself from fans as well, I think there was so much negativity involved and she even said last year she loves us and this won’t change but I don’t get why people are so concerned when she’s quiet ? She is entitled to privacy but I do understand why people are upset and the same time too.

I think she is held to a different standard by a lot of her fan base as well, there are many 10th anniversaries this year. Prism, Bangerz, Melodrama and even self titled will next month. The first three only had merch/vinyl represses and no additional unreleased tracks or celebrations but there fans didn’t seem to be upset, so why are LM’s ? I don’t get it ? I understand wanting more content but it just seems sometimes some people just want something to complain about. 

Also this whole “I miss the old Gaga” or “she doesn’t care anymore” stuff needs to end, like who is the same person they were 15 years ago ? We honestly don’t know the details but it is sad to see someone change but that’s life !

I’ll also finish this off by saying I do agree with people getting annoyed with ads, the Nurtec ad was one of her worst decisions so far and I really hope she doesn’t do it again. I think her/her team were aware of the backlash and hopefully they’ll think twice about doing such an obvious cash grab.

Anyways that’s my thoughts on certain things, I also don’t mean to dismiss anyone’s feelings or opinions or disrespect/hate on Gaga. She always had a special place in my heart, just unsure about being on GGD as often anymore.

I am inclined to think that the majority of the chatter about "missing the old Gaga" will die down as soon as she starts gearing up for a new project, it is understandable though why everyone has been so bored. Gaga just gave up on Chromatica once COVID hit, we never even got the big return to a pop era we were hoping for and the album ended up being overshadowed by releases from other artists who came to be the soundtrack for lockdown. Hold My Hand is a mediocre song that did nothing for me or anyone else I expect, Rolling Stone collab was sorta interesting but nothing to jump up and down about, Jazz and Piano is not the type of thing for your average Gaga fan and the pharma advertisement was out of touch at the very least even if people here were overreacting. TCB was a serve and the only time that I have been generally hyped up in a long time.

I agree! I haven’t stanned her since ARTPOP/Joanne, but I’m still someone who likes this site a lot and talking about her. I just consume the content I am interested in (just music. Do not care at all about any of her ventures and have no interest in seeing her act, but wish her success!!!!) and really give her not much thought beyond responding to threads. Also remember you can be fans of other artists so don’t need to be jealous when that artist releases music. You can consume it too. 🙏

When ? Gaga hasn’t spoken about Act ii since 2014, then addressed after the petition in 2021. It’s mostly DJWS who’s been most vocal about it and she can’t do anything about that.

Tbh, ARTPOP era marks the end of the OG Gaga for me. It was the last time she still carried that edge and rebellion. When she came back with Joanne and Chromatica, it all felt tame and lacking the artistic punch of her previous work. It seems she's more passionate about literally every other venture besides pop music.

For me, if nothing comes tomorrow, this will be a huge signal that she has moved on as an artist and so should we. I will continue to support her music, but honestly just view her as part of "the machine" she used to speak so negatively about. I will buy tickets to her shows if she comes near, but no way in hell can I afford tickets and hotel to Vegas. 

It's really sad because her fans have supported her through so much, and been behind all her pop music projects when the world turned it's back on her. But she seems to have forgotten that and is only concerned about banking from a $90 hoodie.

Again, I still think it’s unfair to compare her to then and now. ARTPOP was a hard time her, it was the most hate she’d seen in years and people were praying for her downfall. It’s bad enough going through that stuff with a few people, let alone the whole world. Joanne bought us great things like the SB, Coachella plus other stuff that proved Gaga still has it.

Pretty sure it’s because those fans look at those eras as successful. Fans of Gaga do not have that sentiment toward ARTPOP at all, so I think it’s their way of trying to make it better possibly. 

I think the issue comes down to how she interacts with her music career. It’s not that everyone want to know every detail about her personal life (I don’t) but I feel like she hasn’t really talked about music the same way she used to. The only comparison I can make with the same feeling to it is how fans got a sense Britney wasn’t invested in her later albums. Obviously I don’t think it’s because of anything as serious as being controlled (I hope not) but it has that same sense to it. Even when Beyoncé or Taylor have gone mute for promotion it doesn’t come across like this, so there definitely is a difference.

Nah she got Coachella bc Beyoncé got pregnant and bc could use the stage to film ASIB  it kinda just worked out in a funny way and honestly? Work
