PornoDanceFight 1,096
Using two songs that, imo, directly communicate with each other (Stefani confronting Gaga; Gaga confronting Stefani)…real asf… Fun Tonight. Even though DCT is a “better” song, there’s something endearingly wonky and almost Ghibli-esque about it (I always imagine the end of the song is Gaga performing on a giant walking piano like Howl’s Moving Castle). mamo 20,075
the bridge of DCT easily trumps the entirety of Fun Tonight for me and I say this as someone whose least favourite track on MAYHEM is Don't Call Tonight bloop! Defmix100 6,733
Whenever I hear the opening of Don't Call Tonight I get the same horrible feeling as when Stupid Love starts

Yeah, even with DCT being one of the weaker tracks on MAYHEM, it still definitely clears FT. We have forgotten our public MANNERS
Hadrian 1,225
Both relatable bops, I fear... but I'm going with Fun Tonight as I found myself skipping through DCT while I let Fun Tonight play in full. I'm a full-time caregiver and I'm "not fun anymore" because of it, so it's hard not to feel the "I can see it in your face; you don't think I pull my weight" on a very deep level lmao. so i exhumed us beneath blue skies / the unbroken burden of my lies / refracted by the shimmer of your light

Different strokes obviously, but I wouldn't even call it one of the "weaker" MAYHEM tracks, just a more mellow-sounding one. It's not the filler some people claim it to be. Solid verses, strong chorus, very strong bridge (& arguably the most vulnerable song on the album). Singing about your lover is one thing.. but singing about your blood is another. It feels "higher stakes"/more raw/"from the heart" to me. How anyone can hear her exclaim "tomorrow you'll desert me" & not be moved by the song is crazy to me. I grow fonder of it with each listen lol
