Any who... Nintendo must have GREAT faith in the people behind this to go the live action route with this. But at the same time I don't see an animated version of TLoZ hitting the same way. If done correctly it could be the next Lord of the Rings.

Im on board if Hunter Schafer plays Zelda. 
 

I have a feeling this movie could feel like an neverending story story. Zelda is moonchild and link is bastian.

Idk how this will turn out  I'm not familiar with the director but the fact that he's done the Maze Runner isn't too reassuring to me. I just hope they dont take a childish/tacky route and actually make it a little mature.

I mean, Venom is a bad movie 

And I disagree. I think an animated version would be ideal. I mean, they already had a successful Mario movie, why not continue that with Legend of Zelda? I think a live action movie could lose a lot of the charm the games have. Plus, I don’t trust that the visuals will be good.

I mean Venom being a bad movie is your opinion lol myself and others highly enjoyed it soooooo yeah I mean it was the highest grossing movie of 2018 so clearly while critics may have no liked it, it had a fan base..

And I just wanna know how you’d think an animated Zelda would be ideal…. It worked for Mario cause Mario is super cartoony and bright and pretty much can easily translate into animation. And sure while some Zelda games do have a bright colorful LOOK to them the tones for a majority of them are pretty dark and epic where Mario games are fun and not serious. I don’t get why everyone is ragging on Avi, sure he may have produced some less than successful movies he’s also produced a crap ton of great movies which I feel like people are completely overlooking cause he also produced Across and Into the Spider-Verse, and the three Tom Holland movies. Also also he’s just going to be the producer not the director… I think the director is usually more important than the producer haha

I never said that it wasn't my opinion that Venom was a bad movie. But just because it's a high-grossing movie doesn't necessarily mean it's good. It also doesn't help that Let There Be Carnage and Morbius are bad movies too.

And cartoony and bright =/= animation. That's a trivial way of looking at it. You can have a darker animated movie. Frankly, I don't understand why you don't think animation is the clear route to go here. It's a VIDEO GAME. The thing is already animated. Live-action adaptations, in general, can be very hit or miss. I'm not saying that it's impossible for this movie to be good, but I'm already not liking the direction it's going in. And if we wanna bring up the director, it's Wes Ball, who did the Maze Runner movies. Which...fine?? I don't have strong opinions about the Maze Runner films, but even then, I feel like they could've picked a more interesting director.
