I find it very hard to believe that Andy Stone & co. created the expression "all I want for Christmas is you". I'm sure there is information online to back this up, but I don't care enough to do so lol. And musically speaking, I don't see how the songs are similar enough to warrant royalties let alone a lawsuit.

I like the song but there’s no copyright issue. Without more, No reasonable jury would find that.
