Don't Keep Me Waiting is the bonus song on Femme Fatale Deluxe. Britney wanted her album to sound like it as a main tune, but the other producers did not agree and they didn't even want it on the main album (Standard 12-track album) and omitted it there. They granted Britney to have this a a bonus, to make her not totally unhappy as a relict of her original idea.

They are also Rock Me In (bonus), Rock Boy (bonus), Whiplash (not officially released, Selena later got it) from Circus era that go into the same direction. Britney recorded Rock Me In, Rock Boy and Whiplash at the end of Cricus, when the album was already nearly completely made and they left the album to be mainly the way when it was already mainly finished; so they ended up as bonus songs. {{The difference between the bonus songs on Circus and FF is, that Britney was OK with them being bonus songs on Circus because her vision for Circus was already completed by then and she wanted to focus more intensive on them on her next upcmmong album (FF) and was "betrayed" there.}} She then got the idea and got inspired from her own songs to make her next album (which would be Femme Fatale) to sound like Rock Me In, Rock Boy, Don't Keep Me, Waiting and Whiplash - but was denied it. I hope she will remember it and make her next album sound like she originally wanted it to sounnd like. But I think, since so much time has passed, she has forgotten about it/it is no more her priority. I still hope, though.

She did! She made Rock Me In, Rock Boy on Circus and Whiplash (Selena got it). She made these songs at the END of Circus and the Circus theme was already completed by that time and she wanted to proceed with them on FF. The album was supposed to sound like Don't Keep Me Waiting, Rock Me In, Rock Boy and Whiplash.

There is Rock Me In, Rock Boy from Circus rera, that inspired Brtiney to proceed with that sound theme and record Don't Keep Me Waiting.

See my previous post above. Actually, Britney recorded around FIFTY (50!) songs for FF, she said it here, minute 2:38:

The Don't Keep Me Waiting theme was even finished, and the other songs of this theme exist, they were just not released because they were dropped in favor of what Max Martin wanted and DKMW is the only relict of this theme that got officially released during that era. Since the songs already exist, I wish Britney would simply rleease them as a bonus album CD. Wouldn't it be cool if Britney made a double-disc CD for her next album? Disc 1, new songs, her new plans? And Disc 2, the unreleased DKMW-Rock Me In vibe theme from FF era? This is my fan dream.

FF imo has some very excellent, avantgarde songs but also some bad songs. It's an extreme album, ranging from very bad to very good. I really hope for the release of the other 30 tracks.
