Ed Sheeran scores 7th consecutive No.1 album in the UK and teases a big pop album

Arriving just 21 weeks after Sheeran’s sixth album Subtract, Autumn Variations registering first week consumption of 30,016 units (16,027 CDs, 6,121 vinyl albums, 2,188 digital downloads and 5,680 sales-equivalent streams).

Speaking exclusively to Official Charts, Ed Sheeran says:  

“Thank you so much for making Autumn Variations the Official Number 1 album in the UK. 

“It’s my first album on my own record label [Gingerbread Man Records], so this means more than any other award I’ve had. Thanks for all the support; it’s been amazing to get reconnected with the fans over the past few months. 

“I hope you continue liking the album, and I’ll see you next year for the next one!” 


His next album will be a big pop record and probably will be named PLAY ▶️

This album has no singles, no videos, and was independently released with no expectations other than hoping his hardcore fans enjoy it. So glad it’s still getting recognition, it’s a stellar project

I’m happy that a really talented vocalist, musician, lyricist and producer gets recognition despite of all the negativity. 
We should really applaud and appreciate when real talent wins, especially now with all the fake and manufactured artists around there. Go Ed!
