Eastern European, gothic inspiration is present on the track. The lyrics are a bit edgy, psychologically horror themed. The song and music video released around this time of year and the monster paw hand sign started becoming a thing due to the video. The instrumentals in the music video are more halloween themed. In addition to it being a massive song and Gaga has always pushed it as her signature hit and been one of the most consistent tracks she performs.
