Now is the best time for country music, its never been this good in my opinion. But she is focusing on viral political songs for some reason! Do the music you love, why let Trump control your whole artistic genre? lol

Modern country music is awful. It's just trucks, beers, blue jeans, dirt roads and girls.

I still can’t believe this is real

Current country music is the most mundane, uninspired it's ever been. It's lost all of its soul & raw authenticity and been replaced by city slickers cosplaying.

I was surprised that The Tree is so good. The girl from Ooh, baby, why don't you just meet me in the middle, I'm losing my mind just a little slayed with this one. Her Yoü & I, I think...

You say that because you arent really looking into country music. Thats like looking at top 10 radio hits and saying pop music sucks. Country music the past 3 years have changed alot, and its never been this good.

Country music will never be as good as it was in the 60’s and 70’s I fear

Seriously. The people on this website are so hypocritical. It’s like saying all hip hop music is about drugs, crime, etc. people that say stuff like that literally have only heard three songs of a genre.

I literally have been raised by country music loving family. I went to the Opry in 2021. Saying country music is better than it has been for most of the last 20 years, fair cop. Saying it's never been better is blatantly false.

No one in the current country music scene compares to Jennings, Haggard, Nelson, Cash, Bill Monroe, Jim Reeves, Loretta Lynn, Dolly, Emmylou Harris, Bobby Gentry, The Everly Brothers or the Sons of the Pioneers.

country music has always been rooted in racism and bigotry, theres some cool open minded country artists - but for the most part a lot of them are like she said, racist, homophobic and sexist.

and how is it good? try that in a small town? thats the most racist **** ive heard in a long time.

you can like country but to ignore the fact that most country fans and stars are super conservative and anti social progess is kind of naive.

i admit i like some songs from dan and shay, marrin and kelsea and even some old tim mgraw songs, but as a whole country music has always belonged to conservatives and people who are ignorant, not all of them but a big portion for sure

While country has always had a strong home in the deep south geographically and politically - but there's massive chunks of country music outside of the Nashville sound that was heavily counter cultural like Outlaw country which inspires so many acts in and beyond country music to this day. I mean, true country is essentially just folk music which since the 60s onwards to now is heavily dominated by whoever is the counter culture of the day.
