I think definitely not. RS previously said that Gaga was in the studio next door working on something (probably the special project) and when she heard they were there, she came over, hummed SSOH and was offered to sing. This is possible, HD was recorded in both LA and NY at Gaga's favorite recording studios.

RS also said that the famous contributors came to the record through working with Andrew Watt. This leads many to believe that Gaga worked on the special project with Watt, but based on the story above, I think that is unlikely. Watt probably started following Gaga a few months ago simply because he is HD's music producer and SSOH made the final cut.

HD was recorded between December 2022 and early February 2023 (with the exception of a few early songs), SSOH possibly in December 2022, as Gaga began filming Joker: FAD in January 2023. Because of this, I think the special project is either some original songs for the Joker: FAD soundtrack (which is supported by the fact that Gaga was in the studio with her jazz pianist in October 2022 and he was at the filming locations too), or some small project that we don't know about yet. (I am not saying that LG7 isn't in the works, just that Gaga wasn't working on it in December 2022, and it is questionable whether Watt had anything to do with it.)

*it’s a pic/mockup of a CD single, just get things clear. But I think we will be getting a vinyl too, since Angry has gotten a goregous colored disc release (and they wouldn’t miss a chance to milk the LMs )
