I understand your point, but America is also huge and Vegas isn’t necessarily either financially nor logistically accessible for a lot of Americans. Reaching Vegas from 99% of places in the US is easier than coming abroad with the need to factor in international flights, visas, passport costs. Everything that makes it financially/logistically difficult to access for an American is amplified when coming from abroad, especially if not coming from a Western/Anglosphere country. Vegas dates are off and on, she has done MANY projects in between legs of her Vegas shows. Vegas isnt keeping her from the world, her mental and physical health is. And I am sure she likes not being far from home. She is not tied to Vegas and not able to perform anywhere else. She genuinely loves and wants to be there for her own reasons. It does not mean she will never tour international again and its not preventing her from jt. She can pick dates for Vegas shows and start and stop her legs whenever she wants. Also, it has taken almost 4 years to almost fulfill this contract. So she Is free to go other places to perform if she wants in between Vegas shows. She is for once finally putting herself and her needs first. And she seems way happier and healthier. She does not owe anyone anything. I understand the disappointment, but she is 37 not 25. Plus that maybe they don't like jazz, plus that maybe they live too far away to go to Vegas We all have to face that in reality she's probably starting a family next year and everything is changing.
