TEANUS 14,963 Posted September 5, 2023 Share Posted September 5, 2023 Is the inclusion of Stupid Love’s jazz rendition at Jazz & Piano in Vegas a hint to Gaga recording her biggest singles in piano/jazz versions? Stupid Love felt like such a random choice for J&P when there are more obvious choices like Y&I, TEOG, MR, ARUTW, etc.. It’s almost as if she wrote jazz/piano arrangements for all of her dance pop hits and the SL rendition just worked really well and compelled her to include it on the setlist. Is a greatest hits/jazz & piano album the “special project she wrote and produced music” for? Even if she’s not writing new lyrics she’d still be writing the new arrangements for the band. I've longed for her to do an acoustic versions album of her biggest hits, but jazz and piano is a way better idea!! I feel that this will be a great surprise to us fans (and great gift to Tony) when she announces this at the end of the Vegas tour...goes to show that jazz music will live on and she will be there to help with that. It would be nice as well if some fitting music from this album would be used in the upcoming Joker film. I also hope for original jazz songs in this dream album. I also thought of V from BTS that would really like to do jazz with Gaga, maybe a collab song can happen here too. That will make jazz reach a wider audience. Ok i will stop haha! elijahfan 26,027 Posted September 5, 2023 Share Posted September 5, 2023 The interesting thing with Gaga’s songs that we’ve been able to observe through the years is that they almost all work in a stripped down piano arrangement, for the basic reason that that’s the way she writes them.
