Miley Cyrus Says Touring Isn't Healthy For Her

Miley Cyrus is opening up about why she doesn’t enjoy touring. The “Wrecking Ball” singer explained why going on tour is not the most healthy of things for her.

In the Used To Be Young series of videos posted on Cyrus’ TikTok account, the former Hannah Montana star explains that traveling as a cheerleader helped her with touring.

 

This is not the first time that Cyrus has spoken out against touring. Earlier this year the singer cleared up that she didn’t have a desire to tour again and it wasn’t because she wasn’t connected with her fans.

Why not do a mini tour with alot of rest between dates? Gaga only do 20 dates for Chromatica, and Madonna did a very small tour in her last show.

Touring is healthy for no one. A mini tour is less damaging but it has to pay. Only huge stars can afford it. I think it should work for Miley today.

She's previously said during Plastic Hearts that she doesn't like changing in locker rooms or the traveling required. A lot of artists don't like to tour, and I can completely understand why.

I can NOT understand the so-called "artists" who do not like the touring aspect of things. Like, as an international fan it is very offending because all I hear is "well I still want your money but you'll never see me there because I cannot be bothered". 

Get a grip, girlies.

You don’t need to tour to make music or be an artist. Not to mention she still does shows and festivals, she was in Mexico not even a year ago performing. There’s no reason musicians should be obligated to spend months away from their home, performing multiple shows a week and constantly traveling unless they want to.

I think she opened up in a way that was actually pretty vulnerable. Like yeah it’s disappointing that your favourite artist isn’t playing shows but at least she addresses it and gives her reasons.
